The Kannada film industry staged a protest rally in support of people of Northern Karnataka in connection with Mahadayi project – the recent judgment of turning down 7.5 TMC of water to Northern Karnataka people resulted in a wide protest on 30^th of July.

In Bengaluru it was 6 am to 6 pm protest and bandh observed. From Town Hall to Freedom Park, the protest in thousands moved against the turning down of drinking water to people of Northern Karnataka.

KFCC President Sa Ra Govindu, all members of KFCC, Dr Shivarajakumar, TS Nagabharana, CV Shivashanker, Jaggesh, Golden star Ganesh, Shivaramanna, Yash, Ramesh Aravind, Premkumar, Rangayana Raghu, Ravishanker Gowda, Yethiraj, Abhinaya, Naganna, Shruthi, Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana, Hema Chaudhary, Vijayalakshmi Singh, Hamsalekha, Sanchari Vijay, Prajwal Devaraj, Anoop Seelin, Anoop Sa Ra Govindu, Anoop Revanna, BC Patil, Ravi Chetan, Meghana Raj, Pramila Joshai, Dr Sunder Raj, Munirathna Naidu, A Ganesh, Saiprakash, Roopika, Mythria Gowda, Ramesh Bhat, SA Chinne Gowda, MS Ramesh, Sharavana MLC, Pankaj Narayan, Venkat Bharadwaj, Suresh Raj, Five Star Ganesh, H Vasu, Bank Janardhan, Yogish Hunsur and others took part in the protest.

Notable absentees were many in the strong protest rally.
